Founders Brewing Co. - "All Day IPA"

If you're looking for a cheap, enjoyable craft brew to mindlessly drink while mowing the lawn, relaxing on the back patio, or playing lawn games at a barbeque, look no further than Founders' Brewing Co. and their "All Day IPA." From the folks who brought you the fine Breakfast Stout (and its godlike Kentucky bourbon barrel variant) comes a clean, easy-drinking craft IPA.

It pours a medium copper color, some foamy white lace, and has little aroma. The hop profile brings a reasonable piney bitterness to the beer, balanced by a bit of wheaty, citrusy sweetness. Pretty straightforward, and honestly, there's not too much that sets this apart from other beers of this class. But that's okay, sometimes you just want a beer and not have to think about what you are drinking. This one fits the bill!

But one peculiar thing about this beer isn't what's inside, but the can itself. The can holds 19.2oz of beer, and it's double the height of a normal can - but the same diameter. Usually, larger-volume cans are wider as well as taller, but this one is just super tall. I don't think I've seen this format anywhere else. This beer is also sold in 15-pack cases, so good for stocking up.
